remove roof rack
Has anyone removed the roof rack from your FJ?

..I just removed mine a few minutes ago...The Freight guy is dropping off my new GOBI rack in a hour.

Mine never came with one, I personaly prefer the look of the FJ with out the rack.

the bolts that hold the roof rack on require the right tool or they become a pain in the ass, you can search previous threads like dominic's for more info on that.

Did you have any problems getting it off. I read something about the posts falling into the liner, etc.

I had no problems myself, just take your time when loosening them up and removing the bolts.

I removed mine last week, used a cordless drill, out in 5 minutes, all pieces stayed in shape. Just need to be gentle.
