Re: Tuffy locking console!!

I decided this weekend to do a little modification to my Tuffy box. But I felt like I didn't need to paint it. The finish on the box is fairly close to the console finish.

But I did put some of that rubber nonstick stuff on that tray on the driver's side so I can keep phone, knife, pen without them sliding around. And there's another modification in there too, but don't worry, I'm legal.

Modifying a holster is where my thought process started. But then I decided to use a belt holster and just rig a way to secure it. I screwed a block of wood into the side of the Tuffy, ran a piece of aluminum (you could use leather) through the beltholes on the holster, and screwed the aluminum into the wood block.

It took a while to figure all this out, but the upside is, if I switch guns I can easily switch holsters (well, maybe not easily). And the holster is 100% unaltered.

I just wish y'all would offer a keyless lock option. This console in an "always locked until access needed" condition would be perfect for my needs. And when I need it to be unlocked, fumbling with a key is not an option.

Having to lock it each time I leave the vehicle and then unlocking it each time I get back in gets old and leads to me getting sloppy and not locking it all the time when I should.

Re: Tuffy locking console!!

Has anyone worked out a convenient way to store CD's in there w/o taking up all the space?
