Re: Home Made Light Bar (Dakar style). Keep It Simple Stupid (Kiss)

I sit in awe of your tenacity. I have always liked that Rampage/Dakar bar and when I have wanted to show anyone I have just found Dragons build up page....Pointed to his and said "there....just like that"...

So anyway after tires and wheels that was to be my next mod purchase.....Now...Not so much. Again the forum comes through with info that you could NEVER find anywhere else.

Thanks Dragon for an informative and entertaining thread.....

Dragon, it looks great. I actually prefer the "lines" of this one over the older one.

Nice job Dragon! Currently I have the rampage bar on my rig and it is doing great, no rust, no cracks. Hopefully I got a good one!

Bill,
That is great! I really like how the lights now are "all in a row." You better be really careful about following too close--that box steel is not likely to give way in a little fender bender! Actually, I would love to see the nice "square dent" that think would leave in a trunk lid!

I can see a guy trying to explain THAT to an insurance adjuster! "Well, I was just stopped at this red light and a Dragon came up and BIT ME!"

Awesome job--spectacular weather to work in! PTL

Bill,

Very nicely done!!!

You now have your lights all in a row... But, are your ducks in a row?

Since you are king of the IL swamps, is it waterproof?

cheers,

Hopefully it will never happen to yours. Who knows what kind of moisture I got inside of mine in some of my "light" water crossings

Hopefully I'll never hit anyone or anything with it, but if I do, I might need to build a bumper?

Thanks, and PTL!
