I have a Scottish Terrier who is too much of a beast to let her into the car. The FJ plastic unfortunately scratches up too easily and I'd like to keep it looking new for as long as I can. Then I'll let the dog in. It would be nice if they sold something to protect the back. I've seen that on other cars.

As soon as we have a well working prototype, I will post an thread offing some combo options (a little poll to verify there is still enough interest), then I will start a pre-sale and take deposits shortly before actually shipping the Barriers. Very similar to our FJ side rack sale

I will have the proto-type #2 in hand on Tuesday

In my experience with traveling with dogs is that they tend to scratch up the plastic around the windows (usually barking at other dogs or cars). If your dog is beating up the back of the seat, it would be pretty easy to cut (dremel) a piece of plexiglass to fit back there and zip tie it to the cargo hooks.

In the past, my dogs that exhibit that behavior ended up in a travel cage/crate. They really did not seem to mind it.
