Steve,
Just another great project - simple and effective.

Nice and for $16 you can't beat it. How well does it light up the back?

Thanks.

VERY bright. The nice thing about it being tucked into the spare tire, is that there's no glare coming back into the cab (as you might get from a roof-mounted light).

Re: Simple BackUp Light install . . . .

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Steve, you are an inspiration.

And, all your FJs look spotless. Your'e so meticulous in your modding and detailing.

I think the diagnostic term is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. But thanks, Doug.

Re: Simple Auxiliary BackUp Light install . . . .

Love the mod - and it is certainly needed. But, (excuse my electroignorance) why not tap the positive into the positive for the factory back-up lights? It would be easier than running the line to the front, mounting a switch... and the light would come on automatically.

I'll take a shot at answering my own question - is it the risk of drawing too much juice? Would the 55w be that much of an additional load?

Re: Simple Auxiliary BackUp Light install . . . .

personally, i'd like to have the flexibility to manually control that light. being able to power it on without having to throw it into reverse is a good thing.
