Cut my seat! Fabric repair kit ?

Accidently gashed the passenger seat opening a stupid inverter box.

Well I'm the stupid one.

Anyways does anyone have any experience with fabric repair kits and can you recommend one?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Cut my seat! Fabric repair kit ?

This came up on a T-100 forum a few weeks back...

Somebody mentioned something called "fabric cement" or "fabric glue"... Available at Michael's, Hobby Lobby and those kinds of places...

You find a strip of cloth the same color and place it under the rip; then apply glue between the 2 fabric layers...

Never tried it but it sounds plausible.

Thanks that sounds like an idea. The fabric repair kits use some kind of colored glue I believe.

Might give me a chance to change out to aftermarket seats though :-). I use to have red Corbeau A4s in my Spyder. Should have kept em!

You might just want to try to sew the rip up as best as you can and get some wet okole or similar seat covers to cover it up.... Out of sight, out of mind?
