installed rear factory cargo cover-

Needed something to cover up the trunk a bit, so i ordered the FJ cargo cover from the dealer- Wasn't going to build an all out box like some of the vets here have done. Here it is installed up close and personal-

Re: installed rear factory cargo cover-

I didn't even know that was available. Wonder if it's aftermarket, or dealer-purchased for resale??

Re: installed rear factory cargo cover-

My used FJ came with one but never put it up.. I might though.. after seeing the pics.. got to thinking about the dust created from the muddy rope laying back there. it would help if fixing that problem.

Re: installed rear factory cargo cover-

Yeap, it is a toyota offered part. Can't be used if you have the sub or anything mounted on the driverside like i do though.

The kit comes with straps to mount it with the factory sub. It goes over the top of the sub and doesn't look as good, but it works. I have it in mine.

Good reason (among others) not to buy a sub.

I knew about this item, but I it looked kinda "flimsy" to me and have been just using a black fleece blanket to cover up stuff in the rear. It's obvious that something's under there, but "out of sight" out of mind. I haven't had any break-in's "yet" but I'm pretty "paranoid about where I park my car when it's loaded w/gear and never leave it out of my sight or out of ear shot.

Re: installed rear factory cargo cover-

The cover looks like something that should just come with the vehicle as standard equipment. Even my crappy Dodge Magum came with a cargo cover.
