Ditto on subscribing. Thanks Blown383. If you didn't subscribe, I'd have probably never seen thread.

By the way, I'd give her an A+ too. Great job.

thank you! only update as of now is that I need to fix the video links on this thread, lol. Im thinking about adding some Kragen HIDs to the roof also because I love the ones on my bumper and the KCs just arent cutting it right now.

light system is still working well, no problems. the up down actuator is an 8" travel which has a bit too much travel. in the future wed probably use the same 4" travel actuator used for left and right.

ill try to get some night videos of it in action.

Re: Articulating Roof Mounted Light System

Now that Lucrum is out of the game maybe you could sell the plans if you are not intending to produce them....

Let me know

Let me know
we could probably come up with a drawing or a solid model of some sort for whoever wants it. to be honest though, if you know how to weld you could easily make this setup by looking at the photos. parts list is pretty small too. we got most the parts from McMaster and our local fab shop.

in the future wed replace the 8" travel actuator with a 4". wed also mount the up down actuator tab on the bottom of the light bar instead of the top.

think we might still have the hand drawings lying somewhere around here...could scan those for now.

yes, I do work on the island...bldg 378 where they do the center barrels to be exact. pretty sure ive seen you too.

just started back to riding my motorcycle today, it had some carb issues but now im back to beating the island traffic. I still drive every once and awhile. but ya, feel free to track me down next time you see me.

also, feel free to get any ideas you want from this project. were both more than happy to share lessons learned on it. its not perfect but it is the first one she built. any design errors are my fault since I helped a bit with that.
