Excellent job! Should have flat black available from the factory. I asked my shop for a quote last year > $8000... The flat clear coat is what kills the price.

No clear = $2000 = no protection = bird **** spots and quick fade.

FYI for everyone else, there is no clear on our white roofs. Toyota decided to save a couple bucks.

The other option is to Linex or Sprayliner the entire vehicle = $2000. There are a few lucky ones on this site.

I love it looks amazing but the only things id change would be to get darker tint and to tint your headlights and tails then you would 100% done the tinting of the tails and headlights is easy just mix in some black with some clear coat and spray on as many layers as you want dark. but that is one of the best paint jobs ive ever seen on an fj and im really impressed by the strength aspect my paint is going to hell quick....

Thanks man...but ask your shop how much it will charge you to also scrap and protect and paint all the plastics as we ve done it here....this is the harder part...to erase the "orange skin" surface of the plastics before painting theme like the rest of the body...that what gives the good look of the car.

i totally agree with you and i was suppose to do it...but the last minute when i found out that i had to mix a special paint with the clear and that we had to order it and wait a little more (after a month in the shop!!!)...i said the hell with it and we just cleared it...now they are very shiny...nice gloss...but i told my self that in a near future i would make them a little darker...

"The vehicle could be painted in matte black leaving the lower rough black section untouched and covered in matte black paint too. This price would be $16,000

Of if you chose to smooth the lower black rough section and then paint the vehicle matte black including the smoothed section you would be looking at $20,000
