Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

I already added the sunglass holders from Chief Auto Parts to the sides of my console.

But I would gladly replace them with this product!!!! I need a place to stash my GLOCK 19, my sunglasses/prescription glasses, and cell phone.

I am already keeping my SPOT messenger in the drivers side door pocket along with my INOVA X1 flashlight, PETZEL Headlamp, ARC-C-Strobe, TRU-FLARE kit, and spare lithium batteries and bulbs.

Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

I have been in the FJC kicking around some things that could be mount on the MPAC Straddle and see what kind of leg room I would have. I keep binoculars in the passenger side door for my son, now with the Straddle I can keep binoculars on both sides of the truck and have the door pocket open for other things. I have leg room to drive and passenger has leg room as well. Will be ordering one when they are ready.

I am pretty sure that if you mount a Kydex holster to the Straddle...you will want use the bolt on option for the MPAC Console cover. I have a feeling that if you don't...the whole thing will come up when you go for your pistol and you will end up having to club the carjacker with the straddle

In addition to the potential of a Blackhawk mount, we also are testing a universal MOLLE holster that will fit most standard frame Automatics.

Doc
Oh, I don't mind drilling to mount the rack. I just didn't want to have to drill a belt holster right into the center console. That would look kind of lame. That would be a nice place to have a rack for a number of things.

As always, I would like to hear your comments

Doc
As discussed previously the gap looks different for the MT6's as shown here...

...otherwise I see many CB's, HAM's, power outlets and pistol holsters getting mounted on these!

Something that we did not consider. Take a picture of the M6 Console so I can see the differences. I am sure that it would be easy enough to make a model for the M6

Doc
Here are a few more detailed pics of the six speed console. It doesn't look too different. I mean it is obviously cooler, but that goes without saying .

I even tool some lame measurements to look all official like... like I know what the hell I'm doing. Maybe they'll help. Anyhow, here are some more pics of the six speed. I hope you can come up with something cool. It would be even cooler if I could still somehow use my proclip iphone holder. I really like the proclip products for the FJ. Cool Stuff.

Top view of the whole shebang:

Partial overhead view:

Some stupid measurements:

Here is the passenger side with the proclip. I guess i could swap out to something else if it is better. That thing is pretty nice.

I don't know if that was helpful at all. But now you have more pics and some have numbers!

Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

Doc,

What would be sick would be or have the means to attach a lap top stand to your console. Maybe even offer one that has custom mounting points for a certain stand if you don't want to offer it.

Ace!

Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

One more thing to spend money on. I like it. I'll get one if the price isn't too bad.
