Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

Looks awesome, I should have been more patient, I have a life hammer on one side and a re-chargeable flashlight on the other, they would have mounted allot easier on that rack....

Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

Just got the "pretty much finalized" prototype tonight. I have been throwing on some different bags to see what works. On the drivers side, the bags need to stay pretty low profile or it gets a bit annoying. Actally the width of a glock in a Molle holster is about the max comfortable width.

On the passenger side, anything goes since the passenger can direct his/her legs away from the console. I will post some pics when the primer dries.

Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

Nice work, Doc.
Now lets have one for the rear of the console.
Or an over the seat back fabric mollie base unit to add packs too. They have them for jeep seats but the pockets and packs are sewn on. So no chance to rearrange.

That will probably happen real soon...maybe a prototype next week?

That will not be coming from us. I agree though, it would be nice.

Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

New pictures:

I spent a little time with the Gen 4 prototype and I have a few observations after trying on some of the sample bags that I purchased.

The drivers side is indeed a little cramped. the best fitting item that I found actually was a MOLLE pistol (with a full frame Glock). It sits in a natural position and is easy to access. I can't wait to try a kydex holster.

The Passenger side is another story altogether...Since the passenger can move laterally there is plenty of room to put on bags. Here are some samples...

MaP Pouch

More Map Pouch

Map pouch with compartment opened
[

SPOT Pouch

I have a few more, will post later

Big handheld Radio pouch
I did not have a handheld CB so I stuck a can of spray paint so you could see the size

Bigger gadget pouch (IMO...too big)

Re: New! MPAC Straddle Prototype

Doc,

I need a rip off small garbage sack on the drivers side, with an elastic neck top, so it stays closed, but easy to put stuff in it, and kind of stretchy so you can fill it a bit. Then on the passengers, something for a handheld GPS(SPOT pouch?). Got anything that might work for the garbage sack? Getting tired using one of my cup holders.

I like what you're doing, as usual, Doc.

Very well done.
