Re: To roof rack or not to?

BAJARACK is the way to go.

I like the looks of the factory rack but it is near worthless. The bajarack is light, cheap, and very sturdy. With a customer service that is of some of the highest i have ever dealt with. Did i mention it's a couple hundred cheaper than most of the rest???

Re: To roof rack or not to?

No roof rack unless you really need it.
From my perspective, the aesthetics have nothing to do with it. Functionality and use is the primary driver.
Unless you are hauling around a lot of gear (this also includes RTT, long range expeditions - there is no use for the rack.
Less weight, lower CoG, modestly improved aerdynamics (less drag).

Re: To roof rack or not to?

I agree with Layton. Bajarack should be the number 1 choice. Some say it isn't as capable weight-wise. Wrong. I have walked, jumped, and fallen on this thing and no issues or bending.

Re: To roof rack or not to?

Definitely with a roof rack, looks un natural without and I have found countless uses for it.

or make a cheap 100 dollar basket setup.

I would probably kick myself in the rear if I didn't have it when I needed it. Extremely frustrating to not have enough room.
