Exclamation European FJ check in here!!!

Hi,

so my FJ will finaly arrive by end of this month in Bremerhaven (Germany) but I think it is already time to think about the situation of after market products for FJ in Europe. Currently the situation seems to be really bad. There are a few companies offering a few things but would you pay for a set of TRD alloy wheels 2500 Euros!!! and I do not even like to think about what I am going to do if I have one of those windshield cracks
I guess I am not the only European user with these concerns. The idea is that if the European cruisers could somehow get together here we would be able to collect orders for spare parts and share the costs for transport. I work in the wholesale buisness and I get a lot of goods from all over the world every week. So for me it would not be a problem to arrange the shipments and the delivery to your location in Europe. So anyone who is interested in that kind of opportunity should check in here and also send me a pm with email contact.

Welcome Euro FJ!

I'm guessing you get all sorts of looks and questions about the cruiser,eh?

I don't think D&W Catalouge wouldn't have much if anything for the FJ.

Best of luck with your spare parts!

Re: European FJ check in here!!!

you could order them from north american suppliers. The Euro is a pretty good exchange rate, sadly you will get raped on VAT though. Check around, I am sure some vendors will be willing to ship stuff to you.

I would PM Dau666 about shipping things to Europe. He shipped his FJ to Geneva and may be able to shed some light.

Re: European FJ check in here!!!

Hello,

Dau666 is already my No1 source for information concerning FJ shipment. My hope was to find some more European FJ users so that we could share the costs for transport or get a deal on group buys.
The situation here is really poor if you are looking for after market products. All you get is an eyes wide open kinda look if you tell them model name.

Re: European FJ check in here!!!

Hi George:

I am here in Davos now with the FJ sadly no snow yet.....PM me if you need anything, I will let you know whats the best way to ship. Sadly there arent too many FJ here. I know of 4 FJ's but they are all in Russia and those folks dont have problem with shipping. They ship their spare parts with private planes....Hopefully you will get your FJ soon....

Re: European FJ check in here!!!

My FJ is currently in NC, USA. I will most likely move (back) to Sweden in May. I guess I will be running in to some the same issues then, because I am definitely brining my FJ.

I know that there is at least one company in Sweden (Exclusive Cars) that imports FJ's. Sales price in Sweden is 429,000 SEK, roughly $63,000

Ouch! That's quite pricy for a Toyota in any country!

Re: European FJ check in here!!!

Hello,

the average price for a naked FJ in Germany is around $35,000. Concerning prices in Sveden I guess that they have an extremly high tax on cars and other goods like that.
I can recommend this shipping agent: Shipping International, car Shipping, safe, goods, auto Shipping
They charged $1,200 for container shipment from San Francisco to Bremerhaven and it took only 4 weeks. By the end of next week it will be finally here

FJ George, since you are in Bremerhaven, for reference, here is a link to the FJC review published in Der Spiegel last year: Toyota FJ Cruiser: Play-Mobil - Auto - SPIEGEL ONLINE - Nachrichten
