Anyone in the forum living in Italy?????

Allow myself to introduce ...myself... New guy here, currently stationed in Italy and looking for other people to wheel with.

I know there are two other FJ's here, one Silver and one VooDoo up in Aviano AFB.

I've only had my FJ for about two weeks and already can't wait to mod it. Only prob is it's tough to find vendor's that will ship to an APO.

Cheers,
T

Re: Anyone in the forum living in Italy?????

In my dreams, I am!!!!!!!

If you go to the International forum, you will see some threads from a while back... there were a few Italians who were desperately seeking FJ who I'm sure would LOVE to chat with you. One Roman guy managed to get one from the U.S... if memory serves.

There are quite a few American military folks who live in Germany and regularly post here (International forum). They might want to take a trip down to northern Italy, because there is pretty much zero wheeling allowed in Deutschland.

enjoy your time there; I am so jealous!

Re: Anyone in the forum living in Italy?????

Hi,

I just moved to Naples about a week ago, and have about four weeks before the FJ gets over here. I'll definitely be looking for people to go camping and offroading with. One FJ in Naples will probably get some looks. Who knows what two or three will get.

Re: Anyone in the forum living in Italy?????

Hey, Kevin! How are the trash piles in Naples? Any better? I know it was getting shipped to Hamburg (where I live) for a while... As with EVERYthing, the Germans are SUPER EFFICIENT with their trash.

enjoy Italy! Looks like we may go to Sardegna soon, yes! It's about the only area of Italy I have not yet explored!

Re: Anyone in the forum living in Italy?????

I've been told that the trash in Naples has greatly improved over the last few months. I've only been here a week, but it's a lot less than I expected. Mostly you see trash in the SOS lanes on the highway, and piled up around dumpsters. Hopefully I will not have to put my garbage bags in the FJ and drive them to Germany to "take out the trash." I'm also hoping to not have to get my car registered in Germany and then transfer it to Italy, as I've heard other people have had to do.

Sardegna should be pretty nice. I was in La Maddalena a few years ago, and I really liked it.
