Greetings, another future FJ owner..

Hello all,

I go by Rubicon because I live 30 minutes form the Rubicon Trail here in the Sierras. I've been wheeling for more than 15 years now, and 10 of those years in an 86 toyota Truck which is my trail rig. Needless to say I'm not new to rockcrawling and when I'm not on the Rubicon Trail you'll find me at the Hammers.

I needed a new tow rig for my Toy and the wife is tired of the Grand Vitara so now we're waiting for one of the local dealerships to tell us when they have what I want. (4X4 auto, Titanium silver, rear locker, convenience package....)

With any luck I'll be towing my trail rig to the "Con" with the FJ by next run.

I can help with wheelin' questions, general 4X4 tech, (not specific to FJ) and anything car audio related since I used to install for about 15 years.

Looking forward to getting some good info on the FJ and possibly seeing some of you on the trail. Unitl then, see you on the forums.

Dave

Rubicon.....COME ON DOWN YOU'RE THE NEXT CONTESTANT ON THE FJ IS RIGHT!

I am liking the avitar.....and the cool Toyota trail rig....yep, you will fit right in here. Just don't pick a desk next to any of the troublemakers and you should make it through the week in one piece.

And don't be surprised if you find yourself using your new tow vehicle for more than towing. It is irresistable.

I'm familiar with troublemakers, no worries. I cut my teeth over on the Pirate4X4 board. (I go by "12_volt_Dave" over there)
The pirate avitar is because I'm currently a prospect with a local 4 wheel club, the "Pirates of the Rubicon". see club video here, click on the pirate box...

SUBURBAN WHITE GUYS

With any luck I'll be a member in say......4 years.

And yes, the rig will being seeing some "flog time", just not on the Rubicon. I need to keep it pretty or the wife will flog me. Maybe I'll use it to tow the trail rig to your neck of the woods, I know you've got some good wheelin' down in AZ.
