Question Which option is best?

I will be buying an FJ within the next month or so and would like to know - from personal users - what the best valued option package is. I need keyless entry but aside from that I really do not NEED anything else except the vehicle sitting in my garage!

A little background: I am a daily wheelchair user and the rear door opening backwards really gives me ample access for wheelchair storage. I'd be interested in getting smaller tires (16"?) but not sure if that is really an option - dealer is kinda out of it by the way...

Other questions:
1.) It looks to me that the Option 1 and 2 differences is only the sub woofer - why pay the same for something I don't get?
2.) I like the skid plate but is the accessory an additional one?

I am totally GEEKED about the FJ. When they first came out I thought I'd never be able to get one... but my other vehicle is on death row - oh darn! I can't wait but want to make a responsible decision. I am a loyal GM buyer up until now so go easy on me!!

Any help would be appreciated!
Waiting for snow in Michigan... weEE...

Re: Which option is best?

your right about the sub only being the difference between option 1 and 2.i would only get the convienence pkg and the locking diff, then you could buy the a-trac switch for about $40 bucks.the only 16 inch wheels availiable would be the trd's,you can buy them as an option when new or from a vendor.when bought as an option from toyota they are the same height as the 17's that are standard,in case you needed a lower height to acess your fj.good luck and welcome to the forum.

^ agree if you can get one with just the convience package go with that and add the other thing that you think you might like.

Re: Which option is best?

Thanks gang... I'm looking at a CQ(conv pkg), DL(locking diff), AL (alum wheels) and what ever CF is. I'll add other stuff to it after it is paid off. I am trading in my Saturn Vue - too small and not a 4X4!! Wish I could read the dealer's mind with what he'd take for this vehicle! This late in the year I am hoping to get it well under MSRP but he is not moving much... Anyway I am staying with the CQ option and I'll see what it lands me - wish me luck!!

Re: Which option is best?

Get on the phone and call some other dealers if you need too. You should get it well under MSRP. Good luck, and Welcome!
