Greetings and salivations:

Hello one and all. I've been lurking and learning for awhile, and am preparing to find a black cherry 6sp to replace my wife's 1990 deceased Subaru Legacy awd wgn. She said yes!!! COOL! Good woman! I am absolutely drooling in anticipation of owning a FJC.
My wife likes the color and the fact that she can fit her 39" tall spinning wheel in the back, and she knows that the new vehicle will go off road to access some mining claims so she prefers the FJ to a new Subaru. (The old one , a non-outback, saw several streamcrossings, lots of logging roads, and once travelled through Tennesee pass to Josephine creek in S.W. Oregon....the guys I met in a lifted 4x4 coming out were astounded...)
Anyway, the new rig will be used as a delivery vehicle for my cheesecake bakery since my '89 Stang does not do winter very well.
I hope to negotiate a good deal near Christmas. I am wanting CQ, DL, roof rack, and maybe rock rails. Front skid, passenger armrest, and A-Trac switch will come later via TRD. Considering no wheel upgrade, later buy wheels I really like and have the steels for off road tires.
