Titanium Silver Owner Checking in

Hello all, Ive been mingling here for a couple months reading posts and seeing how owners used these trucks. My wife was the first to express interest, and with some hesitation I kinda liked it. Six months later, we finally decided to trade in my DD, a 92 4Runner, for a new vehicle. I was leaning towards an 06 Pontiac GTO, the better half kept after me to get an FJ so we could take it camping and wheeling. We already have a well equiped Land Rover Discovery that I beat the crap out of in the woods and is the best offroading 4door rig one could have in my book. As many of you men know, the wife usually wins these type of household struggles and I found myself ridding home in this Silver FJ. While it has a huge blind spot and feels like Im driving a football helmet, I actually enjoyed the ride. Being an avid offroader for a couple decades, I insisted on the rear diff lock. This along with a roof rack, 17" rims, and convenience package are the only options this little SUV came with. I kinda liked the upgrade packages, but felt the money saved could be used on mods! Rock sliders, BFG ATs, and OME lift will be on soon. This is another thing that impresses me about the FJ - there are a ton of cool aftermarket mods already out there. Amazing! Once these "essential" mods are on, I plan on seeing how it fares at Turkey Bay OHV park. While this is my wifes truck, Im looking forward to having fun with it with her and anticipate becoming an active member here!

Re: Titanium Silver Owner Checking in

Welcome and THE best color choice - I am a little bias though! I just got mine two days ago and enjoy the ride also! How about a daytime pic or two??

I have the SAME options except the roof rack - I use a wheelchair and cannot get to the roof if I had a rack but it looks cool - nice choice - I agree that an extra few $1000 can be used for great mods!

I am anxious to who gets theirs dirty first you or me!

Congrads and welcome my Ti friend!
