Alright, so I've finally made a move to take an active part in this forum; I've previously only read it from time to time and find it very informative! I'm a newbie to it all: FJs, 4x4s, and Toyota. Never thought I had a dream vehicle til I saw the FJ... So, hello all!
You haven’t really failed, because you haven’t really tried to succeed. So don’t credit yourself as a failure. You’re worse than that.

Thanks, and yeah! It's loaded with good stuff... I'm recently looking into getting some new tires and going up from my 265 to 285, so yeah, I've been on here a lot lately and getting some really good info... gonna ask the pros here some detailed questions... I'm excited to finally get to this point!
Welcome! If you're new to offroading too, I highly suggest making local meet & greets that involve wheeling. Don't get into a rush and learn from the guys that have been doing for a while. They're experience is invaluable.
Hi and welcome. If you're thinking tires you must assess what you'll be doing. I'm a 4x4 newb too and just widening from 265 to 285 may not give you anything. 285 all-terrains are good for traction but if you want to really "go anywhere" you will want taller and wider and into M/Ts. It depends on your goal. Consult the experts here!
