New Posting Member with TRD FJ

Hi, I just wanted to say Hello to everyone, I have been a member to the forum for a while now, reading everything I could on the new FJ’s since it was first shown at the SEMA show. I have not posted until now, waiting till I got mine. I have been wanting one ever since. I’m a Private Investigator; I live in North Arkansas, but work in Lafayette, La. for a nationwide company. I travel a lot, two weeks in LA then back home for a week. I was on my way back home last week driving my 97 Toyota 4Runner with 314,000 miles on it, when I hit some black ice just outside of Little Rock, AR. I was in four wheel drive at the time, but it didn’t help, the vehicle swerved into a concrete retaining wall divider, head on and then came off backwards hitting an oncoming tractor trailer head on, then off him into a steel guard rail where I came to a stop. Needless to say, the vehicle was totaled, I came out of it without a scratch, the good Lord was with me!. Well the good news is I got my Insurance money, went down to my Toyota Dealer and he happened to have a Loaded TRD Edition that just came in, I bought it that day and drove it home. I’ve been wanting the TRD Edition FJ for a long time and drooling over every FJ I see on the highway, not anymore. Anyways, I just wanted to say hi, and to say what a great forum! Thanks to everyone for their tips & tricks. New 3200 Club member #566

Welcome! TRD owner myself and know the feeling. It is a great vehicle. So far only one in my area, that keeps me smiling.

Enjoy!

My Insurance surprised me with a check for $7,500 Thats with a $500. Deductable, not bad for a vehicle with 314,000 miles on it! Toyota..Oh What a Feeling Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!
