Post NEWBIE HERE with questions

Greetings,

I currently own a 4x2 Toyota Double cab TRD which has served me well...when I lived in CA. Now that I'm on the East Coast I see the NEED for a 4x4 (inclement weather) and have been drawn to the Cruiser.

Can anybody draw any subjective conclusions between the Tacoma and the Cruiser...Handling and abilities?

Also too, I pull a 12' Coleman camper. Although the towing weight wasn't a problem, I discovered at higher speeds, even with a stabilizer, I would pick up speed wabbles. It has been stated it is the shorter wheel base of the Tacoma causing this phenomana??? Do any of you pull a single axel 4,000lbs trailer and have any problems?

Thank you in advance for your insights and suggestions.

Re: NEWBIE HERE with questions

Hey Sport,
The terms pulling a trailer and high speed should be mutually exclusive. Reese and others make a hitch called a stabilizer hitch, check out sites like New RVer - Beginner's guide to RVing they have great advice on towing.
Pulling power, man the new 2007 Tundra should handle that.

Welcome, and Cheers
