I'm getting an FJ...

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm new to the thread and have been considering an FJ Cruiser since it came out. I went to the dealership yesterday intending only to test drive one and ended up sticking around playing with numbers with the salesman. I talked him down to 28,000 and on top of that, trading in my 04' Acura TL with 80K miles for $17K!! In the end, I didn't take the deal because my payments would of been $360. I walked and was hoping they would call me, but they didn't. This morning, however, I did get a call from them and they were willing to deal. I pitched another option, basically shaving a little more off to get to $27,500 and me putting down $500. Anyhow, I'm pretty sure i'll be picking up one today, so you'll probably be seeing my name around here more often.

my wife hit a horse last tuesday and totalled our pristine 2000 wrangler. wanted some more room and went to the hummer dealership to check out the h3, they were STUCK UP!!!! then we went to toyota and looked at the fj our second choice becaue we THAUGHT it was smaller but is really bigger inside. i will post pics of the wrangler if anyone is interested. anyway we bought a yellow fj with 4x2 and some fat bbs rims and perrelli scorpions. we paid 111 over invoice around 26k. love the room, ride accessories everything. does have blind spots but I drive a big truck so I am used to using my mirrors. had a few bad things that will have to be addressed. southeast toyota put on tint on the front windows but messed up the weather stripping so it scratched the tint. the dealership cleanup guys scratched the spare tire cover and there is some creaking in the rear driver side caliper. will let you know how things go.
