Hi from the Rockies!!! Gas mileage info!!??

Hey just wanted to say hey !!! Met another FJ owner gettin a bagel the other day on my way to the salt mine. He toldme to check this out, so here I am!! This is a great site. Cool Pics. ***** Got a Question for all of you Veteran FJ owners out their. Anyone ever try or know anyone who has tried one of "Superchipz" chips on their FJ??? They are on E-BAY advertising HP chips and an economy (gas mileage) chip.****** They advertise the chip for $8.95+ shipping. Thought I'd check before I pick one up. Come on guy's I need feedback. If no-one has tried it I'll get one and hook you guys up eith follow up reports. Also looking for some good wheelin places south of Denver metro not too far from home- or even far from home for weekend trips. LET ME KNOW

Welcome to the forum. You'll find a lot of useful information on here. There are a lot of upgrades that you can do to your FJ. Don't waste your $$ on that chip. The real computer program/chip is like $700 bucks and I think only one guy on here has it. Use the search feature to find anything from tires, stero, A-Track switch, to Ask the Belly Doc. Have some fun....Hammerhead

Re: Hi from the Rockies!!! Gas mileage info!!??

that chip thingy is a waste of money. it does absolutely nothing. it is a resistor that wires in between a wire on your mass air flow sensor and 'tricks' the computer to make it change its fuel maps. so, in other words, it is a $.20 part that will do nothing except waste your time. hope that helps.

other than that, welcome to the board and hope you have fun with your fj!

Welcome to the Forum! Trust me, if you want to know anything about this outstanding truck or any mod that can be done, LOOK HERE!! If it's not on here you probably don't need it or want it.

I and a group of friends are going to run Bunce School Road this Saturday if you'd want to join. PM me or check the "Trail Runs/Get Togethers" for "Jenny Creek, Nederland, CO". We changed our run to Bunce School Road b/c we realized we wouldn't be able to do much of Jenny Creek b/c of snow. Let me know, you're welcome to come!
