FJ Pilot Checking In....

FJ Pilot Checking in with you all. After a year of waiting I finally paid off a bunch of bills and picked up my FJ yesterday. Pretty painless overall. Got it at invoice and I love it!. I hope to have it for many years and I look forward to meeting any of you that I can. The forum has been an incredible source of information for me while buying and I appriciate the effort everyone has put forth to make this site for all of us.

Grant

Re: FJ Pilot Checking In....

Roger Wilco! My daughter (2yr old) already calls it "FJ". We went for a ride this morning on some back roads she kept saying "FJ Fun!"

Re: FJ Pilot Checking In....

Great start grant. You dont have to climb a boulder to have a great time in the rig.

Re: FJ Pilot Checking In....

Yo FJ pilot... where in Minnesota are you?

I spent 3 years out of Duluth, Superior WI to be exact, bending wrenches on a Bell 222. Left there to be in the high deserts and mountains of the Four Corners.

Whatcha fly or work on?

Re: FJ Pilot Checking In....

Bent wrenches on lots of stuff. I owned a business for 7 years that did high end consulting work for part 145 facilities world wide. Had a baby 2 years ago and decided to call that quits. The Northwest guys that went on strike are still out in the industry so this area is super saturated with highly experienced mechanics so It is nearly impossible to find a good paying aviation job here. But I did okay with my business so now I work full time as a parts manager for a big bicycle shop in the twin cities. Before moving here my business was based out of Denver, CO..... I sure miss it now that I have the FJ.....

Lets See,
C-141 B
UH1-H
OH-58
UH-60
C-9
C-20
King Air Series
Lear Jet
Gufstream
Westwind
Citations
.....You get the Idea... Been there done that...As I am sure you have too.
