new fj owner

hi all, i just traded my 06' RR x-runner in on a new black, (bsp?) fj cruiser. i'm moving to alaska in june, and the xrunner is obviously not a practical truck for alaska..lol
I'm an A&P mechanic, i work on helicopters.
I'm kinda a smart arse, but not a hater. Just hoping the fj forums are as close knit as the xrunner forums are. looking for some mod ideas, and just general common interests. Helimx

Welcome... I just joined here a month ago but if you need mod ideas and a tight knit group of people that will help you out, you've come to the right place.

Re: new fj owner

Also to note, use the search function before asking a question about a particular mod, most question's I've had have been addressed by searching...

ya i know all about the search button.
my only concern is,,, what if i dont know what to search for? on my xrunner, ppl would post new mods that noone had ever seen b4.but once the mod had been around for a while newbs would start asking for example..."hey,where do i find a diy for the black headlight mod?"..well, search black headlight mod,,,rite? lol... I know to search for stuff like lifts, stereo questions, etc. but are i've searched the words mod, and modification, and it doesnt seem like there is a bunch of fj specific mods. do u know what i mean? kinda hard to type out wht i'm trying to say..lol
but ya, thanx for the advice, glad to know there's a bunch of dedicated ppl here too!!
