From Subaru to Toyota...

I've been a subaru fanatic most of my life. It started with a friends RS, then my first subaru, a 2002 impreza wrx, followed by a 2004 impreza wrx sti. I had my last car modified to over 350 hp at the wheels After some recent run in's with the law, gf *****ing about the ride quality and loudness, as well as some other changes in my career, I made the switch and bought a titanium silver fj tonight. So what are some popular mods? I know I know, I should use the search button, but I am also lazy and have searched before as well, just wanted to make another useless thread lol My fj came with package 1, rock rails and skid plate, xm, mats, tow package and i think thats it. I haven't had a chance to take any pics yet, so I will leave up a few of my former car.

Re: From Subaru to Toyota...

if youre gonna get into 4wheeling you should get rock sliders first. search it theres ton of info, but these will protect your rig from rocks and logs. then get a lift, new tires, steel bumpers, and anything else. i think its best to wheel your truck in stock for for a while, just so you can see what the capabilites are and then how much each upgrade has helped.

welcome to the forum. and that girl in the first pic is hot.

HELLLLLLOOOOOOO NURSE!

Sorry Savage, The owner of the car is the dude in the second pic so it probably is his g/f. Or at least on occasion.

Man, they really leave those servers open at Penn State I would think that its a big security risk.

Oh yeah, Welcome to the forum.

Stan is right. What you want to do with it effects what you do to it. You just got a lot of $$ then check out Air2Air... Vendor's love him and the rest of us can't keep up. He's pulling >350hp (@ the wheel with 420hp @ the crank)... that's right up your alley but it willn't get you out of trouble with LEO.

Re: From Subaru to Toyota...

Call me shallow, but i think that the first girl would look better leaning on an FJ. Especially if she was posing with a tan Fj40.

Re: From Subaru to Toyota...

Welcome! According to your first post, it sounds like you've already got the rock rails covered so I'd vote for a lift and new shoes. Enjoy

Welcome to the forum and the FJ world. Nice looking STi you had. I'm sure you'll have just as much fun in the FJ. Nice looking lady friend you have there as well.

Re: From Subaru to Toyota...

Thanks for all the comments. Sadly, she is no longer my gf, I've found someone much better now anyway It was just a old stock pic of my car when I first got it. I'm looking to buy some new wheels and tires but I think I'd like to see how the rest of the car handles on and off road before I really start going crazy with it.
I thought going to this car would keep me from getting in trouble with mods...boy was I wrong... need to stay away from the forums...

Haha, yeah they do, these are pics I forgot about on my personal page from undergrad. I should get everything off that site before my user id expires.
