I am going to try to swing a deal on a Titanium FJ 4x4 Auto tranny. It has the convenience pkg, rear locker, carpet cargo-floor mats, and the aluminum wheels. It does not have a roof rack. The number being thrown out is $26,064. I already have my financing set up so we are just haggling on my trade-in.

I want this deal to work but i am trying to remain neutral. Hopefully I will be one of you very soon.

What are the first mods that are considered most 'critical'?

I have already ordered a Toytec/OME lift and a JBA performance exhaust. Maybe you should do the same.

It was a no go on the FJ. We were over $2000 apart on the trade value. I am not looking to break the bank on my trade, I wanted to get the average of KBB, Edmunds and NADA for my vehicle in clean condition. I left my name and number in case they change their mind.

This particular FJ has been on the lot over two months. I will just wait a little longer. Eventually, it will happen.

Sorry to hear it didn't work out. Not sure what kind of market you are in OR but it is feasable to travel to a larger market w/more competition? I drove an extra 350 miles one way but worked for me (the first time around). Good Luck!
