Re: should i buy FJ

Well, you have come to the right place. You are about to be bombarded with positive replys.

The MDX is a very nice street vehicle with superb road handling characteristics ( my wife has a 2002 ).

The 4x4 FJ is the premier stock off road vehicle currently produced. When modified, it get's even better.

Will you do much 4wheeling? Look around, there are quite a few Florida off road enthusiests right here on this board. Go to the regional section forum and look up Florida. There's almost always a group of people planning some sort of outing every weekend. And they are all good people.

25k sounds reasonable, but working for a dealer, you should already know that.

Good luck!

Re: should i buy FJ

ummm.... That is why we are here. We like/ love our fj's. If you have a more specific question that would probably help you out alot. The fj is not for everyone. It really depends on what you want. Some folks here have two, I will be replacing the wifes explorererrrr in the near future. It wont be the fj. The fj is mine and fufills my specific needs and wants. The replacement for the wifes car will have very different specs. So in short, What do you want in a vehical.

Only you can say if the FJ cruiser is for you.

Re: should i buy FJ

Its pretty solid in the mechanics of the thing. I had the same motor in my tundra. The transmission is proven as well. Its a great vehical if you want/like it. One big issue for some is the visibility from the cab. It is much less than most. I have no issue with it as i use the mirrors. I also have heard that some with alot of passengers dont like the rear clamshell doors. I really love mine, the feel, the styling, the ability to go where i want. Got any pics of the possible purchase vehical? 25 sound pretty good if its in great shape and a clean non abused rig.

Re: should i buy FJ

No photo's yet , It has 17" wheels ,no cover on rear spare, automatic ,prem.sound w/subwoofer . leather steering wheel cover and roof rack . Lady owned it and kept it on the road . Not a spot of dirt(Mud) on it. Seems like if I was to choose to get one this is it. And people say I look great in blue . What the hell !!!! The brown MDX is looking tired. Any thoughts on the exhaust pipe toyota offers for increased performance ?

Re: should i buy FJ

I can say with certainty that many on the board have TRD exhaust to sell. They dont really inprove performance unless you consider louder more. Some swear by some cat back systems and so on and so forth. You can do a search and probably get more info than you can digest. I think it sounds like a fair deal and if you want it, go for it. I dont like the rear cover myself. does it have rock rails or running boards? Is it 4x4? In either case it is a pretty good deal as presented.

Re: should i buy FJ

It's 4wd automatic. I guess they are rock rails (learning) if rock rails are black and have a step for both front and back. Haven't used it yet. dosen't seem to be needed . Thanks again . Go Noles
