Smile Finally... FJ Cruiser in Bayern

It arrived this week after it's journey across the ocean, came fully loaded even with the brush guard and aux lights.
I've followed this forum for quite some time and felt now is the right time to join.
It's a great pleasure to drive !

Re: Finally... FJ Cruiser in Bayern

Congrats! I'm sure you'll be turning a ton of heads over there. Send pics the moment you get that shiney new FJ dirty! Love to see it off road over there. Is it true that you have to do some mods in order for it to be street legal over there? My father and a friend of his are thinking of importing the FJ's to Europe. Don't you have to add Driver/Passenger front fender turn signals as well as rear "fog lights"?

Re: Finally... FJ Cruiser in Bayern

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.
Some mods have to be made to get it street legal over here. No additional turn signals, but yes a little fog light is added. The most costly thing is the emission certificate. The total conversion cost ran at 1,200Euros (1,600US$). When you plan to import, keep in mind you pay 10% import tax and 19% sales tax, so the 33,000US$ vehicle turns into a 49,000US$ rig when arriving in my driveway.
But still worth ist !
