New FJ :-)

Hi everybody,

Just got my brand new FJ in titanium metalic and love it Would like to know what is the proper break in period for this car? Also have small problem with the hight of the car including the roof rack. Is there any way how to temporarely lower the car about one inch?

Thanks,

Welcome. As far as lowering it, let the air out of the tires, lol.

That would work, just need to add an on-board air system. Better yet, why not go for an air ride suspension. You can drop them a couple inches easy.
And, Welcome to the Wonderful World of FJ.

Re: New FJ :-)

Welcome, and congratulations. I've had my Black Cherry for about a week and I love it.

As for break-in, Toyota recommends avoiding aggressive driving and full-acceleration during the first 1000 miles. Other than that they state that no "elaborate break-in period" is required. For my own part, I also change the oil at 1000 miles. Then I consider the vehicle "weaned."

Good luck with your rig.
