We didn't go to the lake today because I made the mistake of bringing my wife with me. I ride my dirt bike in the area frequently and have been to forest lake many times. I agree I think I could make it up there stock but hopefully I can add some mods before too long and not have to test that idea. I would also love to go on some runs with the locals. I did head up past the mine tailings pile and took a trail up covered in some pretty decent boulders for a stock ride. I was very impressed with what the FJ could handle stock. Look forward to meeting you on the trails.
