Just wanted to introduce myself. A couple of months ago I ordered a 2007 Tundra CrewMax at the local dealer and my wife started looking at FJs after I mentioned how I'd thought they were really cool. I'd been following them since the first car show prototypes were released...well, a couple of test drives later and we traded in her quasi-SUV (Lexus RX330) for a new FJ, Black Cherry Pearl, fully loaded 6MT and we're both really enjoying it. We spend a fair amount of time going to pretty remote places to hike, run, mountain bike, exercise the dogs etc and the FJ is totally in it's element out here.
A couple of days after we picked it up we headed out to the BLM land near our house and all I can say is that it's got more capability than I have nerve at this point...gotta love it! R,
Bart
Welcome! You will love driving the 6MT. Have fun!

DIAMONDS are FOREVER!
I don't think we're going to do a lot to it, BUT....she's already asked me when the TRD supercharger was going to be available. Our house is at about 6,400ft above sea level so some boost would be fun.
I figure we'll run it for a while and see what makes sense...sometimes being practical is boring!
Hola Bart,
Congrats on your new FJ. Just curious where your wheeling. I am a Santa Fean and I am always searching for new places to go. Maybe we can share some the places we each go plus if your ever interested in taking a trail ride let me know.

Hi Tomas,
Really all we've done so far has been on the BLM land south of town. I live near the La Cienega exit off 25. If you take that and head West into La Cienega and go back behind the landfill transfer station, you'll see where people have been wheeling all over the place. We also did a bit in the Caja Del Rio area, but I don't really know much about that area yet. I've also done a bit while going fishing out near Chama, but that's one heck of a ride.
