New FJ owner, thought I would introduce myself...

Well I finally did it, traded my slightly modded Audi A4 for a new FJ. Why Audi to FJ? Maintenance and it was time for something new. I was pleasantly surprised how the FJ drove compared to the Tacoma.

Searched for a while here in Denver and didn't have a good experience at one particular dealer. Won't mention names but it starts with an 'S'. Ended up dealing with Mountain States, they were very good but tried to change numbers on me a couple of times. I busted out the laptop with the payment calculator and the 'FJ pricing' spreadsheet from this forum, which stopped them in their tracks. In the end, I payed 26,625 for 6Spd MT 4X4 Titanium CQ, UP#1, 2Q, 3T, GY along with my Audi trade-in which they payed off. Couldn't believe all the junk they tried to sell me after the final price was determined. Wrty of course, alarm system, phantom fingerprints you name it. I didn't fall for that trap.

I am going to miss the Audi and it's small turbo, but not it's high maintenance costs. I did a lot of DIY, and loved it's power up here in the Co Mountains. Did my first mod on the FJ, locking gas cap eheheh. Now looking for some wheel locks. Look forward to seeing/meeting other FJ owners in the Colorado area and on this forum.

Kelly

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. Funny, you've only had it a day and you are already doing mods to it. Trust me there will be more to come. Enjoy it.

Too funny...think I will stay away from that for a while. I got tired of trying to find vacuum leaks etc with my turbo car. Think the FJ motor will stay NA
