I really like that truck. Sandstorm looks great in the pictures. That's the best look I have had at sandstorm on this forum.

Congrats! I will be buying a Sandstorm ASAP, but i want one with the UP package, but it seems this first allotment is mostly set-up with the Off-road package.

It seems the offroad package has everything you would get with UP anyway. Except the subwoofer that would come with up#2.
Is that true?
No, you don't get some interior goodies... steering wheel with audio controls, 6-disc in-dash CD changer, MP3/WMA playback capability, exterior color-keyed door trim inserts
I'd be changing out the wheels and tires either way and adding a lift, so I figure get the goodies...

After looking at the 2007's for sometime I decided what was important for me to get on my FJ. The subwoofer, steering wheel audio controls, rear power outlet, and the cd changer weren't high on my priority list. Sure they would be nice to have, but weren't must have's for me. It seemed all the FJ's in this region were loaded with options and with prices to match. One dealer had an FJ with a GPS/CD changer unit where the GPS would flip around and disappear into the dash and reveal the CD player. That was really kewl and really expensive.
A couple small things I like on the '08's are the flip down side window driver and passenger sunvisors. With the windshield visor turned to the side and the side visor down, it gives complete protection from the sun and then some. It seems somewhere I read some complaining that the rear door wouldn't stay open. I don't know if the rear door piston locked on the '07's or not, but it does lock on the '08's. Oh, and I almost forgot, my FJ came with carpet instead of rubber mats. That's fine until I get into the mud and snow and then they might be a mess. My wife said she would buy me a set of rubber mats for christmas. She really knows how to sweet talk me.
