Hey guys... after loooking through this website for almost 2 months... my dad finally bought me an FJ '07as my belated birthday gift. Honestly.. its amazing. Im only 19 btw and the car is fully loaded ( all convenience packages, Uprade2) and titanium. I was thinking of waiting for 08 but by the time they show up in the northeast and with such little difference (+my other car was very unreliable) my dad finally bought one Ive read so much of the forums here so i already know the existing problems. Rear window is so small but biggg side rear mirrors make up for anything u cant see through the inner rear view mirror. Car is definitely not perfect but still the funnest and what i like to call a very GOOOD ugly car. Honestly, i couldn't be any happier plus it cost almost half the cost of the SUV my brother has. The question i had though was what do you think of the cost my dad paid. i would like to say first though since i was working everyday this week and that my parents are going away today, i wasn't able to go to the dealer with him. I believe the cost was 29,000 fully loaded without taxes and delivery. I think the price is kind of steep and my dad said they wouldn't budge for 28,000. and reminder it does come with everything possible ( including floor mats tow hitch skid plate.. everything that can come with the 07's). Anyway, overall i love the car, sound system is not bad but definitely good for now. I actually tested the back seats out by getting 2 of my friends in there to see if its comfortable and they actually had good enough legroom. They told me they just felt a little claustrophobic since there were no opening windows, but not too big of a deal, since i love the car already. The rear parking sensor isn't bad either, but i dont rely on it much... Anyway i'm on my way to writing a novel so ill stop here. Overall just an amazing vehicle
I remember back in the day, I bought my first car - a 88 Jeep Wrangler. Was 18 back then. Bought it bone stock and built it up. It was fun and educational!
If I was your age again, I would be buying the fj no doubt. Much better starting point!
Enjoy the FJ, you will have alot of fun with it stock or modding it!
WELCOME to the crew...and though I hate to rain on your parade, there are the inevitable mods to consider.
It is like a Puppet Master and we are the puppet....need skids, sliders, lift, tires, wheels, racks, better car audio system, gps, bumpers, cb radio, bandi mounts, tinted windows, tools to offroad ahhhhhhhhhhh!!
BTW Congrats on the new FJ TI Kid (I am too lazy to spell titanium; even though I just did); I am sure you will love it stock or modified, just like me

thanx guys... the only bad thing about my dad buying me the car is for some reason hes ANTI-mods of any part of the car. Soo most likely im gonna be stuck with stock for a good 2 years, but after that the first two things i will probably do against my dads word is put a nice audio system with bazookas definitely and tints for the front window even though its illegal in this state.. And funny thing is when my friends saw it, they were amazed, that is also including my gf. THey all thought it was simply ugly in pictures till they saw it in person
