Hi from New Brunswick

Well here I am all registered and good to go on here. I have been reading the forums for a few weeks now and thoroughly enjoying most of the threads....Very informative.

I took delivery of my FJ just over a week ago. I got an '07 Titanium FJ, 5A with the "C" package. I have been a Toyota guy since the early eighties and got my first 4x4 Toyota pickup in 1990. I had a 22RE standard cab automatic and that was followed 8 years and 435,000kms (261,000miles) later by a 1998 Tacoma Automatic Extra Cab 4x4. That one got sold last week with 453,000km(271,000miles) on it. So as you can see I like to drive and I love Toyotas. So now I am a proud FJ owner and looking forward to putting a few hundred thousand kms on this one....I can only hope they are as trouble free as the last almost 900,000kms have been for me.

So far the only things I have done to modify my new rig have been new Ultra Silver Star headlights ( big improvement ) and the installation of a left foot gas pedal. I am partially paralysed and don't have much sensation in my right leg. Therefore I require an automatic and a left foot gas pedal. It is a simple contraption that bolts to the floor and uses a large almost horse shoe shaped steel rod that pivots on the floor and allows me to have a gas pedal on the "wrong side" of the brake pedal. When anyone else needs to drive my truck the pedal folds back onto the floor out of the way. Next on my list is a K&N air filter and some vent shades.

Re: Hi from New Brunswick

Thanks for all the welcomes....I have started my mod fever....mildly....got a spare tire cover this morning while on a mini vacation in Maine....Looks good. I asked them about vent shades but they told me Toyota didn't make any....yet a couple weeks ago I saw some on a SF FJ that had the word Toyota in red lettering on them.....intriguing.
