Re: New Sandstorm with Yakima

I'm curious as to why, with a boat that long (nice boat, too, must
fly through the flat water) you chose not to put the rear rack on
the back mounting holes. Maybe the ****pit coaming wouldn't clear
the roof due to the curves? But it might be a real candidate for 'Hully
Rollers' to make loading easy if you had the bar all the way back.

My set-up for shorter boats is here.
Even with just saddles, loading is easy from the back. We can carry upright
or inverted, depending on distance and speed.

Re: New Sandstorm with Yakima

The more I see of the new sandstorm color, the more I like it, even more than My Voodoo Blue. The new 2008 colors are great.

C0CKPIT -- see, my version didn't get an edit.

Anyway, I like your rig and your kayak rack/kayak!

I usually tote 3 yaks on their sides with a kayak stacker. Two of them are short yaks so I was afraid that the curve of the side might bump the roof. I am thinking about ordering another set of Yakimadaptors and landing pads so I can move the bars to the back for times when I just carry my yak.
