Yes, it fits. I have about 3" clearance to spare and my FJ is already lifted (3"). I have a sectional garage door.

Re: Will your FJ Cruiser (with roof rack) fit in your garage

Mine used to just barely touch the gasket on the bottom of my garage door when i pulled into my garage. considering a lift so i adjusted the garage opener to pull it all the way up. Now i have five inches of clearence.

Re: Will your FJ Cruiser (with roof rack) fit in your garage

Depends on whether you are lifted and what height garage you have... If you have a typical 7-foot garage door, you should be able to get 6'-10" of clearance below the header if you adjust your opener to pull the door all the way up. A stock FJ with roof rack measures about 6'-7", so you will have roughly 3" of clearance. If you are going to lift and/or add bigger tires, you have to factor in the increased height from both -- you might be able to get a lifted rig in with stock-size tires since most 3" lift kits really only add 2" of overall lift, but when you add larger tires, then you get too tall to fit.

Those of you with 7' garage door openings.

Re: Will your FJ Cruiser (with roof rack) fit in your garage

I have 3" lift, 295 tires and hi-lift jack mounted on the rear of the stock roof rack. Our garage floor is raised about 1" from the driveway (like most) to keep water out. I have to back in first to get the hi-lift in before the rear tire comes up and over the lip. If I come in head first the jack will hit the bottom of the garage door.

OME heavys, 285 tires, OEM roof rack and a 7 ft door opening. I have about 2 inches of clearance. The radio antenna just barely nicks the top door jam.

Re: Will your FJ Cruiser (with roof rack) fit in your garage

Didn't fit for a while to I finally got around to adjusting the arm and the stop for my garage door opener, guess the cold finally motivated me to quit qorking in the driveway

I am at max now though, with bigger tires or a lightbar on my rack and I'll be out in the cold again.
