Welcome to the family, we are all crazy FJ owner. I'm using regular too, the engine is running very good and it's cost less to ride. Any trouble you got or any modification you want.... that's the place to find info, enjoy the madness.
Sorry, not needed !!!! Many FJs are running fine on a steady diet of regular. There have been many posts here about this. As I understand the situation Toyota actually recommends premium for optimal performance, but does not require it for normal operation. There is supposed to be a TSB or statement from Toyota that the premium only stickers were a mistake. If this difference is worth it seems to be a matter of opinion since no definitive scientific testing has surfaced to my knowledge. Someone here said they tested tankfulls of gas over the same route and found 91 octane gave them the best miles per gallon. I used premium for the first 5000 or so miles and have switched to regular for the last 4000. My seat of the pants Dynamometer testing has revealed no significant difference in power or mileage just a 25-30 cent difference in price per gallon. This translates to about $400 a year with my projected fuel use for this vehicle, so I intend to stick with regular until someone convinces me otherwise.

Yes sir... I agree with you, I can't wrote anything better, well done.
Thanks. We want to take it up to Silver Lake Sand Dunes sometime. I have to see how this thing handles in the air!
JiI
Welcome aboard.
This forum is a great place to learn about your FJC.
Before you see how it "handles in the air" "read about the engine bay bulges"
Good luck.
