looking at buying

Hello everyone, this looks like a great site and forum and some real dedicated owners! The 07' FJ Summit in Co looks like it was a blast. I currently own a Toyota Sequoia, took the back seats out and mainly use it as a grocery getter (although today I had it off-road, don't tell the wife). I am looking at 'downsizing' to the FJ. My main concern is not having enough room for transporting the kids or grandma when needed. I would love to hear any advice good or bad on how good this car is as a daily driver/grocery getter. I already know I want it for offroading!

Re: looking at buying

First welcome..
Second, I had an '02 dodge quad cab and traded for the FJ ... Plenty of space for my wife, kid, parents(airport pickup) and baby in baby seat.
If theres not enough space in the car, there is always space on top for grandma's ..
Third,

Re: looking at buying

do it, do it

It is an terrific vehicle to drive and own. Just realize you are buying a 2-door suv that has an easier to access (due to rear doors) rear seat.
I don't have to haul around that many people all the time so it is perfect for me. If you use the third row in the sequoia pretty often for troop transport ( i think they have them) then this might not be the right vehicle.

do it

AND welcome to the forum, any questions you have about the FJ WILL be answered on here so ask away

Re: looking at buying

I also used to own a (beastly) Sequoia. The FJ feels wider but is actually much more nimble, easier to park. Plenty of room for cargo and the rear seats are surprisingly comfortable. Though they look like you would be cramped, they are deep enough to be very comfortable for 6-footers. Kids will love the FJ; grandma will be wishin for a Town Car (but it would look horrible with 33" tires and a lift kit).

Re: looking at buying

Go for it men... by one, it's the best vehicule that I ever owned. I'm alone in my FJ, so... there's plenty of space for me, but... one of my friends has 3 kids and 2 dogs, they follow him and the wife everywhere, even in trail. The back of the FJ is full, he put stuff on the roof and... let just say... he's fully loaded. He love is FJ so much, that he always find a way to put is stuff in with his family, so... depending of your load and how big your family is.... I will say... the FJ is big enough. By the way... welcome to the forum bro, enjoy the madness.
