Smile NEWBIE WELCOME PACK: Please read

Welcome to the FJ Cruiser Forums!!

And, congratulations on your purchase
(or your near-future purchase) of the Toyota FJ Cruiser!!

You've just joined the best FJ Cruiser forum on the Internet, not to mention one of the best web-sites on the Internet . . . . period!! Before you get started with your forum experience, please take a quick minute to read through this "welcome pack" that will help you enjoy and get the most out the forum.

1. Before you post anything, take some time to browse through the many different topical areas to see what's offered here, and to see how other members typically use the forum.

That way, you can determine what categories best suit your particular areas of interest, and to identify the appropriate sections into which you can post your comments and/or new threads.

Also, visit our Forum Rules to see how our forum is regulated.

2. Make sure that your very first post is right here in the Introductions & New Arrivals section. That will give you an opportunity to tell us a little bit about yourself, and to receive a warm welcome from many of our nearly 20,000 members.

3. If you get stuck at any time, or have any questions about navigating your way through the forum or using any of the forum's many features, visit the Forum Help/FAQ's. It will answer virtually all of your questions about posting pictures, creating links, editing your posts, etc.

4. Some of the terminology and lingo might have you completely baffled as you read through an ocean of abbreviations and acronyms. This Forum Glossary will help you with all of that confusion.

5. When you first open the Forum, you can start in a variety of different places for your forum browsing. Many members simply open the main Forum page and take it from there. Many others make Active Topics their first stop to see what the current forum discussions are.

And, you can also start your forum journey in New Posts, as well as, on the Forum's Home Page.

6. You'll see all of the different categories, sections and sub-forums laid out on the main Forum page. So, whenever possible, always initiate your new threads in the appropriate area so everyone will know exactly where to look for it. (Plus, that saves us over-worked under-paid moderators from having to keep moving threads from one section to another. )

And, if it isn't related to FJ Cruisers (and other similar topics), Off-Topic is the place where anything goes . . . . well, almost anything.

7. Can't find a certain topic or an answer to your specific question?? That's where your Search Function comes in very handy. Use it often. You'd be surprised what's already hidden amongst the thousands of threads and post on this forum. (Plus, it might save you the embarrassment of asking a question that's been asked a number of times before. )

Another great place to seek answers, is the Forum Gurus and Mentors thread. Here, many of our members have volunteered their time and topical area expertise to give us all a hand with figuring out the mysteries in many of the popular categories where we often get a little stuck.

8. One particular section of the forum that you'll visit frequently is the Technical Articles forum. There, you'll find hundreds of how-to articles (written exclusively by our own members) for virtually every modification and do-it-yourself maintenance task that you can think of . . . . not to mention a large collection of "buyers guides" for all the popular FJ Cruiser add-ons.

The best place to start in the Technical Articles forum is the frequently-updated thread entitled "CONTENTS: Read First" (which typically appears in the header of the Technical Articles area from the main Forum page).

9. At the bottom of the main Forum page, you'll find a list of our Supporting Vendors. These are the fine people and companies who financially support this vast forum so that you don't have to. So, whenever possible, be sure to return the favor by visiting them first when it comes time to purchase your after-market equipment, accessories, trail gear and other FJ Cruiser related items.

10. So, have fun!! Learn all you can about your FJ Cruiser, while at the same time, sharing your knowledge with all of us.

We've got a great group of people on-board the forum, and they're always eager to lend a helping hand. So, don't be afraid to ask questions of any of our members. They love coming up with the answers.

And, at any time that you might encounter an obstacle, please contact any one of our forum moderators. We've got a great gang of moderators (if I do say so myself ) that will be more than happy to solve virtually any problem you might have.

Once again, welcome to the FJ Cruiser Forums!!

Yours truly,
The Administrators and Moderators of the FJ Cruiser Forums

Hi everyone, I've got a 2008 TT edition FJC and i'm putting a TRD Supercharger on it as my first mod. Watch out Hummers here's your worst nightmare! I also want to put a snorkel on it for a CAI and what i like to call a little Louisiana Insurance. I started driving a 1974 CJ5. So I'll be excited to be wheeling in the 21st century!
