Question Totaly Stoked on my 2 day old Trail Team Cruiser BUT HAVE QUESTION!!

Hi Fellow Cruisers.

I just bought the Trail Team it rocks!

Great deal too, if your in No Cal hit me up I'll hook you up.

Questions: I have driven the truck for 100 miles and just for kicks filled up at both 50 mile marks.
Day one HWY and city (SF) 14.7 MPG. Day two just city 9.8 MPG.

What gives? I thought the FJ were rated at 20 MPG this is almost worse than BEASTIE my 02 Tundra 4X4 which gets 17 on the HWY and 10 plus in the city...

Do these things need to break in to get the suggested mileage? I have never experienced this with any other car.

Please let me know!

Thanks

Something doesn't sound quite right there. I've put 11,000 miles on mine and got about 20.4 mpg until I started adding mods now it's 18.7 mpg overall.

Are you really figuring your average mileage based on a 100 mile term?

Drive it a little more (maybe a tankful at least) and then you will have a better indication of the actual fuel economy you will attain.

Yes, after around 5000 miles your mileage should improve a little bit.

Re: Totaly Stoked on my 2 day old Trail Team Cruiser BUT HAVE QUESTION!!

I'm doing approx 70/30 city/highway, 1500 miles on it, averaging about 18.0, 4wks old, TT, and it's an auto. My 03 TJ Wrangler did about 16.0.

Oddly enough the Trail team did better the first 1000 miles @ approx 20.4

something isnt right. Not sure how your driving but when i first got mine i was in the high teens and now im above 20 even with some mods. It does take some time to break in but single digits should not be right...
