Re: Please allow myself to introduce... myself

They make a 2 wheel drive FJ?? That's like near beer!
I haven't had mine off-road YET. I just haven't had the time. I have seen the videos of some people driving their FJs hard. That may be great for them but I drive mine on an 80 mile round trip commute each work day. I paid way too much to do much damage so quick to such a nice ride.
I bought to FJ for comfort and safety during the daily commute and in hopes of hitting the beach (3 hours away) a few times during the year. I would like to get back into hunting and fishing on a regular basis but currently lacking the time.
Again welcome and enjoy the ride.

Re: Please allow myself to introduce... myself

Welcome! You bought an FJ, that's good enough for us! Did you read the part in the manual that requires it to be dowsed in mud once a month or it gets depressed? JK

Re: Please allow myself to introduce... myself

Welcome!

And FTR, my 2+ year old FJC has yet to do any offroading other than the private dirt/gravel lane that leads to my in-laws' house.

I bought mine for towing our jetski trailer, and got the MT6 with 4WD for the slippery, mossy, treacherous ramps.

We promise not to hurt you.

Sandi

Re: Please allow myself to introduce... myself

Well thanks for all the replies. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that won't be off-roading (although there is a nasty speed bump by my house that, when I drive over it, I can imagine myself tearing up the rock trails).

It really is a great vehicle and I'm enjoying it more and more every day.
