Is there any particular model or options you're looking for?
After spending a lot of yesterday evening browsing the forums, I've got more options than I realized. My initial thoughts lean towards an FJ with a few offroad upgrades to protect it like a skid plate and nerf bars. A roof rack to haul my canoe. Finances permitting I'd like to upgrade the bumpers and add a winch. The more I think about it the more expensive it gets and my head starts to hurt.

Welcome to the Forum. I live near Huntington in southern Ohio. The first mod you need to consider is getting Clearplex on your windshield. It will protect you around all of the coal and gravel trucks we have here. Got mine done at Art of Tint in St Albans. It was worth every dime.

I live about 30 miles southeast of Charleston and drive behind coal trucks almost daily. I'm on my third windshield in my Ranger in about 7 years. Every vehicle I've ever owned has had to have replacement windshields because of coal and gravel trucks. I've never heard of Clearplex but it just jumped to the top of the list. Thanks for the advice.
