A/C Button

Hi: Just bought a 2007 FJ Cruiser and love it. There was no owners manual with it so I am winging it. Question, The A/C button light remains lit all the time, I ca hear the compressor turning on and off when I turn the switch and I am getting cold air. Does the light remain on all the time on this vehicle?
Or is it maybe a faulty swich? Thank You for your reply.

Re: A/C Button

Welcome to the forum.

On the lowest possible thermostat setting on the big dial, the A/C will always be on. Turn the big dial one click clockwise, then push the A/C button, and it will go off (until you push the A/C button again or rotate the big dial all the way counter-clockwise again).

Re: A/C Button

Spinman,
Shoot me your address. Although it is for a 2008, I have a couple of extra owner's manuals. Be happy to send you one!

Re: A/C Button

Welcome! There was at least one thread about the AC button and/or the REcirc button sticking. If you rotate the temp dial CW from max cold and hit the AC switch and it does not turn off, it may be a sticky switch. Try using Dust-Off spray around the button shroud. Hope that helps. Also do a search on "AC button".
