My Panda is all grown up now.....

Out with the old:

In with the new:

2008 FJC TT with all the options I can think of. Tell me if these are normally on the 08 TT's:
-Trd cold air
-Trd exhaust
-Trd oil cap
-Trd gas cap
-Diamond plate interior trim
-JBL sound w/ sub

I'm glad I chose the FJ over the H3. The mod bug already bit me but I'm going to take my time with this one. Not in a rush to lift and all that hardcore crawling stuff just yet. As long as it can take me camping/hunting, I'll be good. This is my first 4x4 though, so I still have a lot to learn.

First mods that I'm thinking of getting are:
1.New baja rack that goes with the stock rack
2.Axe/shovel and hi lift (can someone steer me to the right direction, going on stock rack)
3.Ladder (Insight on Gobi Vs. Baja Rack ladder please) any other brands out there?

Oh, my name is Casper and from Tacoma area Washington.

-Trd cold air - no
-Trd exhaust - YES
-Trd oil cap - no
-Trd gas cap - no
-Diamond plate interior trim - no (unfortunately they covered up your white color matched trim panels.)
-JBL sound w/ sub - no (FJammer 6 disc with Factory Sub is on the TTSE)

As for the rack check this thread it has exactly the discussion you are looking for on the rack and accessories.

Can anything be done to improve roof rack?

And ladder, I have a Gobi and I think it is great. Don't know anything about the Baja rack ladder.

hope that helps, and Congrats on the new TTSE!

Re: My Panda is all grown up now.....

^ Cool, thanks for the quick response and answering most of my questions. I used to be on scionlife.com a lot, now I have a ton of reading to do on this site.

I read somewhere the early production baja rack ladders had fitment issues, I wonder if that got fixed. I really want to jump on that Gobi ladder group buy but I want to see if anyone can convince me to get a baja rack or other brand instead. Or is the Gobi the best?

Re: My Panda is all grown up now.....

I have the Baja Rack ladder and it fits fine, after you open the hanger tabs up a bit. However you cannot open the rear glass anymore, is that true with the Gobi's?

Yes it is the same. I think you loose being able to open the back window fully with any ladder.

I don't know of too many ladders on the market. I know I see Gobi the most, and like Mountani Mike said Baja's are fine too.

Re: My Panda is all grown up now.....

I've seen a bunch of posts lately (mods you regret thread???) wishing they had not done the ladder. I decided long ago to not seek the ladder mod. I have a dog that hangs her head out the back, and I just can't see myself needing it.

I've never heard of the TRD gas cap.
Pics???

What kind of gains can you expect with that. I know the Oil cap is invaluable on the butt dyno.

I use mine all the time to get up and wash the roof.

I don't yet have any equipment up there though. plus I have no dog.

I'm sure the TRD gas cap is purely cosmetic as with the oil cap. I too did not know they made these but it is nice knowing that I'm one of the few that have it.

First off, welcome! Sounds like you got your hands on a sweet rig. Does she have a name yet?
Being Iceberg White and with yuor name and all, maybe "Caspers Ghost" would fit. Or not!
Either way, good luck and enjoy.
