Mounting 6" light bars in the Demello Rally Bumper

Has anyone else mounted small light bars in the Demello Rally Bumper's wings? The brackets are supposed to be setup for a 6" light bar, but it seems like they're 8.125" wide and the average 6" light bar only runs about 7.5" long.

Here's two photos, one showing a (cheap) 6" light bar in the mounting spot and all the slop around it, and the other showing measurement of the open gap between the mounting tab and the side face plate of the bumper.

Thanks for any help!

The Rigid 6" it was designed for is 7 5/8" out to out so that is close if spacers or washers are used. Likely need SOME room to squeeze in washers and knurled lock washers.

Re: Mounting 6" light bars in the Demello Rally Bumper

That's a lot of space. If you look at the Rigid diagram, it's almost a full inch wider than the light's case, which means you'll end up with a half inch of slop on each side? Plus good luck getting a tight fit as you can't get the tab and side plate to clamp down on the ends of the light - it'll be constantly flopping out of position.

I'm wondering if I'm missing something here about how you're supposed to mount this light.

Hmm, your light tabs look different than mine. On my rally bumper (steel), there is a horizontal plate with slots, rather than vertical tabs.

That would make sense. But I'm pretty sure I've seen this tab style on the Demello pics.
