Re: Why you deserve a Lucrum LLS

Hey everyone. Thanks for ALL of you suggestions and supporting each other here in a way that really shows class. I do want to remind everyone though that the judging comes down to Air2Air and of course myself. It is fine to support each other but please DO NOT start or continue any campaigns to get someone to win, and dont put up any polls. The decision will be based on the selected persons merit alone and NOT traffic. One other thing, be careful of making up your minds too early we still have a week and a half to go and we still have plenty of stories that have not been told yet. My selfish benefit from this I like most comes from getting to hear other peoples stories of generosity and kindness that makes me want to give them something. I don't want people scared off thinking they wont win because they don't have 30 votes! So the bottom line is weather a person has one minuscule post or one-hundred guys voting for them, the decision will only be based on the merit of one individual. Thanks

Wink Re: Why you deserve a Lucrum LLS

Chris, You are a outstanding guy. When I met you I had NO IDEA who you wear... other then some guy with a FJ I did know about the Lucrum winch mount lol. And the fact that you have the company and you are disabled makes you more of a fighter and all arond good guy.

I do not feel I deserve this as I have read people storys who would truly use it to help the human race. I will buy the LLS next year anyway... and probly use it to show off to my 4x4 friends and everyone els (thats why I do not deserve one LOL)

But if all the things work out that I want to do then sometime in jan or feb I will be getting a winch mount LLS and the bumper wing block outs. and maybe your new rear bumper (not idk on that yet)

WHY do I want YOUR stuff? Well I want to support you. I use a wheel chair most the time so I know how it is and I respect you for making this biz and would LOVE to support ya

Re: Why you deserve a Lucrum LLS

When deploying in early 07 I realized we had a big lighting problem in our unit. Had I come to the unit earlier (arrived a month and a half before deployment...coming off of recruiting duty in Houston) maybe I could have set the wheels in motion to resolve it prior to leaving Georgia. The stock pair of halogens on our HMMWVs and Bradleys just didn't cut it. Whenever the unit hit IEDs it was at night. On my first emergency leave of the deployment I picked up an Off Road Adventures magazine, a publication by 4 Wheel Parts. I noticed they had a program in which they donate lights to military units. I took the chance and wrote in about our situation. After a few e-mails back and forth with the editor they decided to take us under their wing. By the time I returned from my second emergency leave the lights were coming in.

Here is the first set we installed:

As you can imagine I couldn't wait to get back to my family and hobby wise the FJ. This is what my FJ looked like post deployment.

By a month later:

Traveled 1000 miles to go to my family in Michigan (2k roundtrip). Put on a Metaltech bumper, winch, and 4 Procomp driving lights. Another 2000 miles to go to Chicago and do Route 66 to Amarillo for my son (he's obsessed with Cars the movie) and on to Houston to visit more family. The direct route back to Michigan was about 1300 miles. Roundtrip from Ft Stewart, GA and back was over 5000 miles.

Route 66 (original)

Galveston (during the Houston visit)

Big lights are good!

Offroading with friends from the board. Taken by CaliChaos (during the Houston visit)

Houston TX FJ gathering at General Sams

I just happened to be looking for a lightbar when I came across this Lucrum product. Over this last 15 months I've become obsessed with lighting and, now I want this product pretty bad. It'd be a great story to get published in Off Road Adventures . I proudly display stickers of the manufacturers of any products on my rig. There is already a Team Leader and Platoon Sergeant from my unit ready to go offroading (probably Tellico or Uhwarrie). We want to start a new club for our area. Naturally we'll be offroading day and night. Doesn't seem to bother most soldiers. We'll have a lot more luxuries than in the sandbox anyways.
