Please!!!! Lucrum Needs Help!!!!! Not A Joke!!!

As some of you know I posted about switching our hosting and web service from aplus.net to godaddy.com. I started the transfer over 2 weeks ago and the process is still not complete. As of tonight at about 1am the dns servers finally went through and allowed me to bring up our website. The problem is that now the website is trashed and nothing works on the website. I have not changed anything and Godaddy.com is not willing to help saying that the problems are being caused by 3rd party software. I have not had a website, store, or email for 5 days now and have no end to this trouble in site. CAN ANYONE ADVISE ME ON WHAT TO DO? I am being hurt by this and losing business. I cant communicate and godaddy will not help!!! HELP!!! 760-716-4472

Re: Please!!!! Lucrum Needs Help!!!!! Not A Joke!!!

There is so many things that could be wrong, I would not know where to start.

All I can suggest is the Hosting Service I have been using for many years and very happy with.

Is the file structure on the new server the same as the old?

Re: Please!!!! Lucrum Needs Help!!!!! Not A Joke!!!

From looking at the source code that is on your current home page, it appears that whatever you are using to publish your site might need to be re-configured. As you know, your link and image locations are not showing up correctly.

The email problem could come from the dns changes. Did you recreated your email accounts with GoDaddy after your migration was complete?

As others have stated, there are probably numerous issues causing your problems. Let me know, I might be able to help.

I'm not a java guy but as it was said earlier double check you file directory structure and ensure that your /images directory is intact.

DNS looks fine BUT you need to update networksolutions with the godaddy dns servers. Currently the networksolutions dns servers point to ns1.abac.com and ns2.abac.com. The traceroute goes to godaddy's servers so your traffic is being routed properly.

Re: Please!!!! Lucrum Needs Help!!!!! Not A Joke!!!

It could be something as simple as GoDaddy not providing FTP access.

I had a client that went with GoDaddy for hosting, and GoDaddy doesn't automatically create an FTP user account (unless you ask them). It could be that Lucrum thought that all you have to do is change hosts, and all is taken care of automatically. GoDaddy really pushes their web-based site solutions, and want you to use their pages to create and publish your site (easy for the masses).

Could be a case where the source code just needs to be re-published via FTP.

USMC_Sgt might be on to something; ns1.abac.com and ns2.abac.com are the name servers for Aplus.net not GoDaddy.
