Re: Simple Question

Toyota uses their own brand and I believe it is red (at least it used to be). Prestone or Peak mixed correctly should do the job just fine.

Re: Simple Question

You can buy premixed that can be used right out of the container or concentrated (the normal coolant forever) and mix it 50/50 with distilled water. The premixed is way more expensive in the long run.

Toyota Red (undiluted) or Toyota Pink (already diluted w/ distilled water). Only available at dealers. Bring lots of money, they're very proud of both - but is good stuff and I use it in all my Toyota products.

Re: Simple Question

Wow...I need to lay off the booze. I could've sworn you were trying to find coolant for your A-TRAC.

The red is straight antifreeze/coolant. The pink is diluted 50/50. If you buy the straight (non-diluted) you must dilute it yourself. You never run more than a 50/50 mix in the system.

Re: Simple Question

Is there an interval that the coolant should be flushed and replaced, or do we just add if its low?

Every 100,000 miles. Just keep it full until then.
